Bright and cheery music, with eerie grass. Love it.

Perhaps give the entities some indicator of death other than falling to the ground. Disintegrating into dust would be cool, but might take too much time...

Also, giving the player a way to regenerate health might also be helpful. At the end of the day, the decision is up to you, but having the player restart for minor lapses in judgement here and there might be a bit too harsh (especially since some of these caves can get quite large). Maybe 1 added health point up to 3 max per level finished?

Thanks for rating my game and for the constructive criticism!

  • I personally like the entities falling to the ground, though this is a subjective preference. They do stop spinning as well, so it's not too difficult to tell whether one is dead or not, and this way you can see their corpses, which is both (subjectively) pretty cool and can serve as a rough indicator of where you've been already, if you prefer not to use the minimap.
  • Maybe some form of regeneration would be deserved, but I can beat the game on most of my runs without it. Obviously, I'm more experienced with this game than most players, but I feel like the difficulty makes it more interesting.

Interesting idea. You were right about ambushes behind corners

Simple but satisfying :3 (I like that it's 3D)
