How have you innovated on this product? (Optional)
Custom integration of multiple templates fused together. Innovation in dynamic realworld gameplay that adapts to aim to provide new AR gameplay experiences.

How does it speak to Niantic's mission? (Optional)
As players explore the real world, DunGen adapts its levels to different settings due to physics-based object placement.

How complete is your project? (Optional)
There's player interactivity, a health system based on collisions with goblins, a spellcasting system with a sword animation, and custom retro pixel art.

Judges' Feedback

Nolen Tabner, Software Engineer:

It was a bit difficult to see what exactly was happening during the video, but the concept is interesting. Good potential to become something quite engaging if there was more variety in the actions and visuals. The idea of location-specific gameplay could go far with this project.

PatCat, Lightship Leader:

The general concept here is quite neat - dynamic level generation and such, but the video didn't quite show it to that extent? I think maybe one of the goblins seemed to die from an attack but the rest all just stuck around. Wasn't quite as intuitive to see and understand what was going on. The pulsing effect on the mesh worked nicely with it all though!
