music and sounds from itch.io, freesound.org and other websites with free sound.

Is your game a web build that runs from your itch page?

Yes

The game is a web build that runs from my itch game page

Does your game have fully implemented sound effects and music?

Yes

My game has sound effects in every appropriate place and music that is mixed to match

Theme Usage
The game has a lot of projectiles flying at the player, which the player can dodge simply by jumping or moving away, or using Dash mechanics. The game also has a warning about some attacks. All of this makes the player feel like he barely had time to dodge the damage.

Additional Notes (optional)
This was my first time drawing graphics in pixel art (Aseprite) and I made a lot of mistakes, which makes the game look like it was drawn in MS Paint. I have learned from my mistakes and will be able to draw more beautiful pixel graphics in the future. There is also an easter egg in Practice mode, try to find it :) Have fun

The artstyle's so unique, and it's fun to play, a bit hard tho, but I guess it's just skill issue. very cool

Wow cool pixel art for your first time!
The Intro screen is beautiful and I also love the changing picture next to your health bar, when you get low.

I think its a little too hard though. The enemies have too much Health, and it is simply impossible to dodge all of the stuff that is happening. Also I don't see it really fitting the "Close Call" Theme.

Anyways, still a nice little game.

GG!

Developer

Thanks for the nice and detailed review. About the game's difficulty: it all depends on how fast and accurately you move and dodge, I think it's the mechanics of dodging multiple bullets that gives the player the “Close Call” feeling. I am not the most skillful player, although I am a developer, so I am sure that my record of 1146 points is a very small value and there are many people who will overtake me if they want to. I think the game seems difficult at first glance, but if you play it long enough, it will seem simple and very predictable, because there are not many types of enemies.
