In my announcement I outlined a schedule of 26 hours per week where I would not dedicate more than 2 hours per weeknight and 8 hours per weekend day to the project.

I did not sacrifice the things I typically associate with crunch throughout the duration of the project. Careful planning of scope and project phases helped manage my time and anxieties about meeting the deadline.
