  • - Art was nice and cohesive. Really appreciate the sound effects as they really help the game play. - Kept your scope small by creating your take on a classic, great idea for a game jam. - Really think about your game controls. Shooting should be on the left mouse button as space is much more awkward to use with the opposing hand. Typically, space is reserved for the thumb of the main hand! - Firing should be a hold action. It shouldn’t need to be a separate click for each fire. - When you are doing a take on a classic you have to nail your fundamentals, shooting should be impactful and should be helped by screen shake, impact effects and impact animations. It's all about making the gameplay feel juicy. - Would really benefit from some dynamic difficulty, varied weapon types, anything to keep the player interested for longer.
  • Theme: The small worlds as obstacles met the theme, I feel like the theme was made to fit the game rather than basing the game around the theme. Playability: The game ran well and the mechanics were solid, my biggest gripe was lack of scalable difficulty, spamming shoot makes the game super easy to play. Creativity: Scrolling shooters are not the most creative games, would have liked to see some additional mechanics to make it its own. Presentation: The presentation was very solid, the game looked nice and the itch page was well made. Team Composition: The team had decent games experience with Level 6 and level 5's but they did have to work with 3 level 4 non games students, the team should be proud of what they achieved.
