  • Theme: Very nice play on the theme, having 2 players create their own small world was a great example of basing the game around the theme. Playability: While the game mechanics seem there and are a little raw, the ability to view the placement of the tiles would really help, I was rarely able to place a road tile attached to a road as when I placed the object I could not tell if it had a road and when it did the rotation seemed random meaning I could not sync them up. This holds the playability back for me, but otherwise the concept of the game is great and a bit more time to polish and this would be a great portfolio piece. Creativity: The game plays like a unique board game, that fits the theme and conceptually seems really solid but needs more time to polish to bring the fun that is clearly there to be had. Presentation: The itch page is nice, the game is very well presented, the art is really nice, the animations are subtle and a great addition and the use of post processing brings the game to life. Team Composition: Being a team of all game students I have to rate the harshly in this category but they should be proud of what they achieved.
  • - Camera Shake on placement is nice, thinking of game feel is always a plus . - Presentation looks really nice, cohesive which helps the end result. - Hard to understand the point of the game without the submission page. There was no description to tell me what I’m meant to be doing. Would benefit from basic explanation of the game at the start. - Personally I feel like you bit off more than you can chew. A fun card game in 2 days is really hard to do, especially one that has good gameplay and is well paced. Without experience in the genre, it's gonna be real tough. Always keep scope in mind in a game jam, keep it small to benefit you and your team. With the same presentation you could’ve worked on a simpler game that would be easier to make and more fun to play. Overall, great effort. Just keep an eye on the scope!
