Once you understand the core mechanic, the game become fun and interesting.
Also, the sound and visual feedback are cool and do the work !

The sound effects were great and I loved the game, especially the simplicity. I would love to see it in a web build and have some music or ambient background.

Great game! I like how you connected it with the jam's theme. It's a shame you didn't make a web build, I'm afraid a lot of people will miss out on what would be a really fun experience.

What I liked:

  • Animations are simple but very effective.
  • Screen shake is always a good addition.
  • Sound design is good and fits the overall aesthetic.

Suggestions:

  • You could make the UI fit the game theme a bit better.  "Rise!" doesn't feel like an option to select, rather than just a flavor text.
  • I discovered Parry by accident. Your screen has enough space to fit the controls for players to see.

Rock on!

wow... It was awesome. I spent 20 minutes in it and I want more. My only problem is that once you figure out how to dodge enemies (just walk, they're too slow) and how to upgrade properly, the game starts to get boring.

This was one of my favorites of this jam so far I think. Felt kinda like a 1-bit Elden Ring

Loved the feel of the punch/block mechanics, sad to see no music.

Thanks for your comment! Sorry about the lack of music. I was rushing near the end of the jam and ended up forgetting it.
