  • Great demo! The tanks control really nicely, and it's actually quite intense when you get into it! Now you just need a bunch more levels and some more art assets
  • Excellent work with prototyping! You put a lot of thought into your game and that was definitely reflected in the presentation. Given that you were working with new tools, it is impressive to see how far you got with a top-down prototype. The theme was well reflected in your design, and I think there are plenty of opportunities to explore the dynamic of power (tanks) and how to use them responsibly. Next step will be to aggregate all those design, audio, and visual choices into the game. I look forward to hearing and seeing the gruff General Ben in-game :)
  • It is unfortunate that you haven't been able to finish a game, but I am so glad to see you've learned so much from your experience! It is great to see that you've collaborated to come up with a concept and explore the tools involved into game development. I hope from this event you've gained more knowledge on the components that make up a game and use that newly found knowledge in the future to become great game developers :D
  • Its a cute tank game. Construct is a development platform I had never heard of before now so it was rad to see that new tech. I think you built a solid foundation and that given a bit more time you could wrap up the game loop and have a fun little game.
  • This is exactly what you want to see from a new team- a complete mechanic, a complete loop, and an interesting foundation- the controls, the tank art assets, etc. Though the content is a quick loop, you see the potential for more level design more feedback, control refinement, etc. The theme doesn't really stand out through the experience, but I'm sure with ore refinement / work you can make your theme more clear.

I believe you mentioned it was your first time making a game. Nice and simple. Great job! Keep it up.
