What was the inspiration for your project?
Visits to the Smithsonian’s National Air and Space Museum and imagining using 8th Wall Sky Effects to explore the dramatic historical technological advances in manned flight using the sky as a virtual canvas. Witness all the eras of aircrafts simultaneously flying in the sky to compare relative top speeds and wingspan sizes. The AR visuals of the aircrafts circling in vertical layered column of concentric colored rings helps display the technological progression across the different eras. This creates a unique interactive infographic timeline of manned flight that unfolds in realtime. Each colored ribbon is an interactive hotspot to view each individual aircraft and specs.
