Fighting and controls were hard to get used to. I just ran and jumped in a straight line for about 30 seconds and got to the end. It would've been cool if there were unavoidable obstacles or levels you have to get through or  something like it so that people couldn't just blow through the game. It also felt like the "Pain" bar didn't serve any purpose. Awesome graphics though, reminds me of Super Mario 64!

yeah i need to redo the controls a little bit, and the level geometry will be redone as well. the pain bar fills up every time you get hurt and when it fills to 100% all the weapons get stronger, i should've made that a bit more obvious, but thanks for playing.

It took me a while to realize where I needed to go, as the plank didn’t clearly resemble a path. I’d suggest adding more visual cues to guide the player.

Additionally, I think the combat could benefit from more feedback to make it feel more responsive. Adjusting the camera to snap into a fixed position based on the character’s direction might also improve visibility, especially for anticipating incoming threats.

Overall, great work

PS: how does the pain mechanic work?

Developer

yeah i wanted to do a lot more with the game in terms of direction and how the combat feels but i ended up finishing it at 2:40 in the morning and didn't have any more brain power, so i'll definitely try and improve some things. also the pain metre slow builds up whenever you get attacked and also goes down when you heal but when it gets to 100% you have a brief period of time where the bombs range is increased and the two other weapons fire 3x the amount of projectiles.
