This game is so underrated!
It's a great game with decent gameplay and amazing art design. The spaceship was so beautiful it made me forget that I should run for my life.
I'm just kinda curious what kind of crappy weapon smith did this ship use to have, that made guns that broke after firing 3 shots? Also, which crewmate's idea is that to store way more ammo packs than repair kits? 🤔
Thanks so much for your comment! I'm really glad you liked it!
As for the gun and ammo, I guess I was the clumsy smith and crewmate 😅. I made it so you couldn't fire mindlessly. I didn't put much thought into the resources, but I'll have it it mind next time. Thanks for playing!
Nice implementation of the theme! It looks nice and plays well enough with minimal bugs during play (there were a few that didn't impact gameplay which is great for a jam game).
It was a bit hard to tell what was what at times, and where you could go at the start, but after a few tries you start to recognize better paths and the best way to get out with the enemy spawns. I liked that there were different paths to get into and out of rooms.
Art looks good, but may be a bit too dense for a fast-paced run away from alien horrors making it a bit hard to figure out what things are sometimes. I kind of wanted to just look at all the various cool machinery, but I had to run from the monsters!
My biggest critique is on the gun. Having two separate resources for it felt a bit too restrictive, especially when making a mad rush past a large group of enemies, though I figure it was done to promote more careful, sneaky gameplay.
Overall, a good entry with nice art and solid gameplay with a cool theme of enemies arriving with the darkness.
Thanks for the feedback! I also think the art may have been a bit too dense, but I'm releived that it dodn't affect the gameplay much. As you said, the gun was made to try and promote sneak and not shooting everything, I wanted to make it feel as if the gun was your last resort. However I agree that maybe I could have made the enemies more "blind" so it is easier to sneak.
I'm glad you liked the game and again, thanks for the feedback. It is really aprecciated to get some constructive critique sometimes!
Simple concept but amazing production value, best spriteset I've seen so far and really neat interpretation of the theam. Solid work
Thank you so much for your support. Being my first released game it absolutely made my day to hear kind words!
