I got this before it was cool on steam.
It's wonderful. I love making my own characters, watching them come alive. The combat is also fun.
If you like visual novels where solving the mystery involves the characters walking you through it with intense and meticulous attention to detail you are going to love Methods. Seriously, IDK what it is about this genre that lends itself to this extremely specific trope? But the Higurashi series and Raging Loop are two games I recalled as I was playing this. I didn't even realize it was a thing I like, but Methods is it, distilled into something potent and addictive.
Bonus points: it's witty, it's goofy, and there's at least one nonbinary minor character so far; I'm not finished yet but I cannot proclaim my love for this game enough.
I am blessed to have gotten this game for free because I don't know if I would have bought it for myself otherwise. Don't pass this up! It's great!
Fast-paced fun, and while I've seen criticisms I found I actually quite enjoy the gameplay loop.
