from the developer of "PicoPicoGames" (an early free iOS game with few microtransactions.)
comes this quite unique take on the Flappy Bird formula.
sure, this game MIGHT be scary. but you what's truly frightening? the fact that terrible Shih Tzu known as Isabelle exists.
playing this certainly helps me forget about her though. 馃憤
sometimes when pulling through random (modern) games on vintage computers, you come across something charmingly basic like this game.
"GaMeOvEr"
Gets a neutral score as while the writing is genuinely hilarious and meshes well with my tastes, the actual gameplay is a bunch of mini-games that vary WILDLY in quality. Worth at least buying on sale.
A notable classic adventure game created in flash, despite it being a "remake", this version still uses that despite Adobe discontinuing the tool! (Albeit wrapped using the similarly defunct Adobe Air.)
Don't let the slightly suggestive title fool you, this is just an incredibly charming storybook built around repetition. You could even buy physical books based off the game at one point!
It's Super Smash Bros with a dynamic jazz soundtrack and overpowered magic blast moves, what more could you ask for?
Joining the likes of classics like Water Warfare and Chex Quest, this is a charmingly low budget family-friendly FPS where you duel penguins.
Like Animal Crossing, but with proper platforming and no time-management!
It's a really joyous experience that's fun to pop open and run around in.
A very (not even including audio) basic 3D room displaying models from various N64 racing games.
The concept is charming enough, with a couple of slides detailing how the models were extracted and how they were created back then. But it's certainly no Namco Museum in any case.
Terry Cavanagh's second best game (No, really.)
Combining the basic gameplay of Flappy Bird with the thrilling visual style and music of Super Hexagon, it 's quite possibly one of the best flash games ever created.
A fairly short, but incredibly interesting, Point & Click adventure.
A incredibly beautiful looking interactive pop-up book. Featuring a great soundtrack by David Wise (As in, the same one that composed the Donkey Kong Country trilogy on SNES) of all people.
What happens when a Franco-German television network decides to fund a Video Game?
Art! It turns out.
While the gameplay isn't anything special, the visual styles are excellent!
(NOTICE: I'm not sure why only the demo was only uploaded here. If you're looking for the full DRM-free version, you'll need to acquire it from the official site.)
Not a meme, but it's rather funny. Gameplay wise it's Kuru Kuru Kururin with a car. Considering how obscure THAT game is. You probably don't know what i'm talking about. But it certainly is good.
It's short, it's about family, it's got a great soundtrack. All 3 of those sentences describe Basketbelle perfectly. Well worth five dollars if you don't mind the hour-long length.
A damn-near perfect debut from the team at Supergiant Games. Starring one of the best narrators you'll ever hear, and the turrets from Portal
One of the scariest horror games in years, and YOU'RE the one controlling the monster! It's so terrifying, that Nintendo hired the devs to make a Switch game.
Hype as fuck Platformer with Bullet Time and triple jump dashes. The Soundtrack is pretty good too.
An odd Zelda clone. I certainly couldn't figure out what the actual plot was. But the actual gameplay is really good.
From one of the lead developers of Anodyne...
...Comes LSD: Dream Emulator, with an actual storyline. It manages to nail the low-res PS1 aesthetic PERFECTLY, and it's much easier to understand too.
Barring it's incredibly disappointing final act+Interlude, KRZ is a vastly interesting title. Playing around with it's setting in weird and wonderful ways. Even OUTSIDE of the game in some cases.
Once upon a time there was a Kickstarter for a gaming site called "Venus Patrol". where this incredible title was created as an award for it.
Now, you can easily download it for free.
WAKKALA WAYO!
