Course Description:
Digital Game Design foresees the development of Adventure Games (2D) by working in teams, with group members preferably from different design departments. During the initial phase will be analysed the origins of the adventure game genre in its various forms, as well as current tendencies and notable examples.
Students gather knowledge of the complete process of designing a playable game / prototype. From concepting, building narrative structure, introduction of graphical methods and elements, basics of character, level design and sound sequences, through integration of these components into a programming framework, with structured version control and consequently, realisation of own functional demo.
The platform in question is the Unity game engine, precisely its Adventure Creator Asset, whereby the streamlining is done with Git and BitBucket.
