Cryptid Catcher was a game I contributed to from multiple areas, from UI design to programming. At the beginning of this project I was primarily involved in level design and concept art, which then used by our artist to create the 3D assets. At this stage, my other main area of focus was designing and implementing the game's UI, aiming to create something visually appealing that felt cohesive and somewhat diegetic with the gameplay.
Then after some changes in our team during the production phase, I was required to step into the role of programmer. In the level set in the church, I designed and implemented the enemy AI and core gameplay loop. Later, I also extended gameplay on the level set in the docks and reworked the enemy AI entirely too.
I worked as the primary game programmer on Zoo League wherein I designed and developed the match simulation and club management systems. As a UI simulation game, Zoo League involves many systems that are intertwined in the background which I was responsible for integrating and tying together.
I also took on the tasks of balancing, conceptualisation and debugging. I am especially proud of this game as I put in a lot of time and effort to produce the submitted version of Zoo League!
