A lifelong player and enjoyer of games, I ended up diving for the first time into erotic/porn games in early 2024. I then shortly discovered that so, so many of them are not quite sexy, sadly unfinished, or simply bad for one reason or another.
I have trudged through the depths of itch.io (and other sites), tried everything that interests me, scrolled as close to the bottom of the unending algorithmic recommendations as I could. Turns out one of the most helpful things I found to aid me in finding actually enjoyable games was itch.io's user-made collections. I could get the general vibe of a user based on the title and a few of their listed games, then decide if the rest of the list was worth checking out.
Thus, this is my attempt to bring you, dear google or itch.io searcher, the sexy fruits of my not-so-sexy labors.
One major issue I found with finding adult games is so many of them are poorly written, be it due to lack of skill, effort, or just not quite understanding the language very well (sorry non-English-speaking devs). I quickly realized this is a huge deal in a subsection of games where about 90% of the time, the joy, the allure, the surprise comes from reading text.
This is my collection of games with clear, sexy, or entertaining writing. They may be imperfect with some typos or a few awkward phrases, but they all have something that makes them above average to me.
Point and Click adventure style game about ghost hunting in a mall with girls! Super good artwork all over and even feels good to play (more than expected for a VN/adventure game)!
Favorite. Bartending, corruption, and consent. Story progression integrated into bartender gameplay. Great art, writing, and voice acting (only some scenes).
Exhibition progression story. Very sexy and consensual! Gameplay is limited to choosing the order in which events happen, though.
Super long and super detailed corruption RPG. Your choices affect your abilities. Amazing!
Linear visual novel with a few choices and very believable characters. As silly as something with this premise is, it can get surprisingly emotional and genuinely funny as well! (Make sure to get it from a non-Itch source as they haven't uploaded new versions here since 2022)
Cutest sexy harem story imagineable - once you get past the "feminist" caricature character (the way she is written almost made me close it and not come back)
Relationship progression with many fun and funny anime girls. First game with 3D model artwork that didn't bother me (huge; I think a lot of them look bad/uncanny)
