I made this demo of a personal game reviewing a media experience for a writing assignment in my First-Year Seminar Digital Worldmaking at Occidental College in Fall 2021, co-taught with Sheldon Schiffer. Students were supposed to write about personal experiences to simulate them for the reader using Twine. I explored the experience of having a GameBoy with mostly-dead batteries from an autobiographical perspective.
I created a graphics demo for intro computer science students in Java that would randomly generate a "round hero" that looks like a certain Nintendo character, to get them engaged with the different kinds of things you can do with shapes, lines, and colors. My co-teacher Justin Li created the starter code for the project.
