A game I can and will force every friend I make to play at some point. It is without a doubt one of my all-time favorite games, and frequently takes the place of number 1 (only beaten whenever I'm particularly smitten by another top game of mine at that moment, though it always takes number 1 back eventually.) If there is no other game you pick up from this list, I'd ask that you at least give this one the good-'ol college try.
An interactive fiction game that had me hooked the whole way through, and whose ending (and twists) decimated me. I won't spoil it- but I'm a firm believer in a bit of horror improving almost any sci-fi experience, and the moments of that in this game have haunted me well after I finished playing. 10/10 :)
Love an IF where the MC goes through living hell! Another incredible sci-fi game (perhaps my bias is obvious, lol). Currently still in development, but I'm on the edge of my seat waiting for the day it fully releases. Heed the content warnings!

A nice, short game with a poignant atmosphere. Listening to 'sins' and judging afterward brings a certain amount of dread with it. A glimpse into a fascinating world.
