Aquatic Games

Games of mine that take place either on or in the water, because I believe the world needs more nautical games in general.

Do you have a single original thought in your head?

My first RenPy web game!  I was very extremely happy with this one and bummed out that it kind flopped.  I like the captive Mightwen.  He's a freak.

Explore Shaarish Shore's unique marine life through the sense of taste!

Was originally a cozy food truck sim.  Not sure where or when it turned eldritch but I am glad it did.  Definitely a setting I wanted to play around with more.

Sometimes things get real stupid under the sea.
Visual Novel

In the inverse of Beyond Lifeline, my return to game jams and relatively regular VN development was a complete and utter goofy experience of joy and trolling.  I traced over my own fish pictures for the sprites, including my betta who had passed away a few days before development started.

Discover the mysteries of the deep with Baiji and Brielle!
Visual Novel

You would not believe the stress I was going through during the making of this game.  This was the last game I made for about a year or so until I could get my life back together.  I personally think that stress and desperation did leak into the game, but then again maybe nobody will notice.  I'd be fine with that.

I've had recurring hurricane nightmares ever since Hurricane Harvey.  This story built from those.  People really seemed to like this one, even more than I did.

I worked a summer job as a computer science teacher and was assigned Scratch, a program I had never worked with before.  This was an excuse to practice with the program.  My students got to see this one and were amazed that they could make story games in Scratch.

The only idea that I had from my "ideas gal" phase that survived into my "developer gal" phase.  Based on a dream about a series of young adult novels about a girl who could turn into a mermaid and was dating a sea monster.  This is one I would love to remake into a full game - but I'd have to either become a superhero with Godot or find a team, because on my own this is the level I can produce.

Protect the ocean from the invasive species!
Interactive Fiction

Inspired by the lionfish invasion in the Gulf of Mexico, something I feel very strongly about.  Turned Lovecraftian because what else does one do with aquatic horror I guess.  The trivia (not counting le spooky ones) and scientific names are legit educational, if that helps.
