UOP Game Jam 2022
This project was developed with one designer, one programmer and myself as the only artist. This proved difficult as work couldn't be shared between the team. This was also my first attempt at creating voxel based assets, this process was done in 'MagicaVoxel', with Maya being used as an intermediary tool for correcting the positioning and scale. I also enjoyed creating the UI this year due to the 70s theme, this was done in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop. The prompts that year were: Masquerade, Sacrifice and Eric Reece, the 32nd Premier of Tasmania. This project received the 'Best Adaptation of Theme' award.

UOP Game Jam 2021
I ended up being in a team with me and just one other person. This was extremely challenging, and it meant we had to share the workload of everything between us. We meant for this to be a bowling/cricket fusion game with enemy AI that tries to stop you, but because of limited knowledge of code between us, that wasn't unachievable. The prompts that year were: The Cluny - a 300-capacity live music venue pub and café, Roger Andrew Harper -a former Guyanese cricketer turned coach and Saint-Marcellin cheese. The game itself didn't win any awards this year, however, I was given the 'Most Helpful Person' award.

UOP Game Jam 2020
For Bodhampton I was the UI designer and one of the 3D modellers. This is an endless strategy game based inside of your body. The prompts that year were: The 1999 Saskatchewan Scott Tournament of Hearts, Jillian Banfield - a professor who studies microbial ecosystems and the abandoned village of Bockhampton. We incorporated these using inspiration of the word heart as being inside the body,  creating a microbial ecosystem that is like an actual village which was once abandoned correlating with Bockhampton. We earned honourable mentions in both the 'Best Adaptation of Theme' and 'Best Engagement with Themes of Diversity and Inclusivity'.

UOP Game Jam 2019
For this project, I was the background artist and cutscene designer for Shore and Order; A 2D side-scrolling game where you collect items whilst a timer counts down. The win state is dictated by the amount of items you collect before the timer runs out. There are also things to watch out for and dodge because they may slow you down! The prompts for that year were: A beach town in Mexico called Yelapa, the attorney Vernon Geddy and Lillian B.Horace. We incorporated two of the prompts into our game by creating a story based around an attorney who is surfing on a beach in Yelapa and has to get to the court on time to win his case.

TDEMO Project 5 - 2019
For this game, I was the Lead Artist.  I had the tasks of UI designer, concept artist and texture artist. I also made the cutscene slides. Itsy Bitsy is a third-person platformer aimed at children and it also features some puzzle-solving sections as well. We had no theme to follow for this project so we used all our strengths to our advantage during this and we could make something we wanted to. I am thrilled with how this game turned out.

TDEMO Project 4 - 2018
In Cosmeownaut I created the backgrounds. I made three backgrounds in total for three levels. Only one level ended up in-game.  The one background my team used appears compressed and blurry as it wasn't imported correctly. The menus have a high-quality version of them so you can still see what they were meant to look like. It also meant the spikes at the end of the backgrounds to cause instant death, making the player's experience more immersive and allowing more challenges.

TDEMO Project 3 - 2018
In Musical Mayhem, I made the character sprites and animation. I also made edits on the original stage and the health bars which were the ones that ended up in the final version of the game (with permission from the original stage and UI artists). I really enjoyed the challenge of making these animations but I'm not truly happy with them. I think that if I had more time, I would've touched them up and made them better. I also liked making the health bars.

TDEMO Project 2 - 2018
In Bitter Sweet, I made character animations and sprites. I also made all the tile assets and any background sprites. The logo was created by me as well. With my previous experience with animating pixel art with Fruit Dragon, I was thrilled to try out animating the side view of the character. I kept the design rather generic because I wasn't sure how to animate him but I think I did well in the end. My favourite thing to draw was probably the tiles.

TDEMO Project 1 - 2018
I made everything in this game. I found the coding rather hard, but the art was fun. I hadn't really animated pixel art before so I was excited to push myself into the challenge and I'm happy with the outcome. There were some bugs like the fruit being too small or going too fast, but it was my first time coding in Game Maker, so I tried my best and I think it came out very well. I'm excited to join more jams and to show my potential and skills to future teammates and future projects.
