One of the dilemmas of roleplaying is the relationship between player skill and character skill.
How can you, especially in a freeform system, combine a player's skill, role play, and character's skill?

The Thief is often considered the weakest of the classes in classic D&D (and retro-clones), especially since it is often possible for any character to perform thiefly actions in the OSR.
But one of the peculiarities of some OSR currents, is that they have embraced an interpretation of Thief abilities that considers them almost magical.
So I came up with a small list of additional special abilities for the Thief that players can pick from to customize their characters.
