Some of these games have 16+, 17+ ratings, and I likely won't add 18+ games cause I've noticed this trend going on with minors getting into more adult-oriented spaces:
If you are not over the age the game says (especially if it's a 17+ or 18+ game), please stay away from it, there are reasons the devs give it that rating, even if you're an hour away from being the age it says, wait the hour. It might be better for mental health and will be better for the devs. Thanks!
GRIMMY
They served up 3 interesting systems with planets, sci-fi drama and 7 hot LIs
They served and I ate
(Rated 17+ for mature language, sexual themes, and violence)
So cozy! I love everything about it!!
Etza took my heart and ran with it
Then came back to ask if they can steal it cause they're lovely like that
(Trigger Warning: Mention of mild violence, kidnapping, stalking, and mildly suggestive language.)
(Visual Warning: Various text and camera effects are used in-game, such as bouncing and jittering text, shaking camera effects, and flashes.)
(Auditory Warning: Loud SFX, such as thunder, are sometimes used.)
I saw DLive play this and oml I fell in love with this game, would recommend!
Live life and potentially romance the lovely Cove Holden in GB Patch's game Our Life <3
(Now with romance routes for Derek and Baxter)
(Rated 16+ for swearing, crude humor, and suggestive content during adult-aged portions of the game)
The newest game from GB Patch!! While it's a demo, it's shaping up to be something great :D
Our Life 2 is a similar concept to OL1, however now there are two deuteragonists to grow up with! This one will explore more family dynamics, school dynamics and growing up and seeing characters realise their gender identities, the pronouns are even more customisable! :D
(Tamarack is my favourite currently)
Chaga, cosy cabin, ace protagonist, CROWS?!
Yeah, I'm in
(Rated 17+ for strong language, drug use, general violence & blood)
Love this game so much!! It's like coming back to a friend group and seeing them be just as awesome as when you last saw them, I like the heavier issues that are addressed, I hope the game's characters make people feel relieved to know that they're not alone
Man, playing this game was something special, it made me truly consider how people behave and how they can grow from it, be it main characters or side characters, I'm glad Butterfly Soup and its sequel exists.
(Also shoutout to ChryssaLiz, the best ship name I've ever heard)
(CW: Brief written depictions of parental emotional and physical abuse (no visuals), ableist slurs)
I absolutely loved how much of a vibe this was, if Lo-Fi were a video game, it'd be Blooming Panic. It really got me into the chatsim game genre and my god did it have some feels!
(CW: Cursing, Mildly suggestive content , Situations involving stalking, Discussions of parental verbal abuse, Loud Sudden Sounds)
Brings out the feels with how people experience religious cults, hierarchies, secret, unrequited love and dealing with the darker parts of one's self, this VN I definitely recommend!
(Bad Faith is not suitable for children or those who are easily disturbed.)
Micah you can have my car if you flash one more smile at me (also the notepad idea in the main screen was genius)
(Rated PG-13 for Swearing and falling in love with an unbearably hot hacker)
Played this in 2020 and whoo boy I've been a fan ever since!!
(Rating: 18+ for NSFW options and 16+ for SFW options. This game contains mature themes, optional sexual content, and intense scenes
One of the VNs I found in 2020 and I'm ngl, I wanted an Avery route (think my favourite routes were Mason and Finley and Landry and Hayes and Reese and-- whoah almost spoiled you there!)
Man oh man, you will NOT regret playing this game
With your name, personality and pronouns customisable, enter the world of Belong! Who will you choose?
The mysterious and charming Flint, the bubbly and also mysterious Capriana, or the shy but sweet Dylan?
I personally go for Dylan's route first xD
This game's pretty dang complex, each person has their own problems and it's nice to be a part of helping, even if it's not always romantic
(Dead Wishes is marked as NSFW for depictions of violence, sexual themes, and psychological horror. It does not contain graphic sexual content.)
Slavic folklore, 4 people to befriend and one to fall for, cute fruits and veggies (and potato) to befriend and a fantastic art style packed in a VN where nothing goes wrong, nothing at all!
(CW: This game may trigger seizures for those with photosensitive epilepsy. Viewer discretion is advised. Not suitable for children or those easily disturbed.)
