Cool and interesting stuff for solo roleplaying.
THE most essential resource for solo roleplaying. The price might be a bit steep, but it's totally worth it to get one started with the hobby.
The first system that vibed with me enough so that I'd be able to sustain a multiple-sessions campaign. Cyberpunk hack of Heroic Tales.
Essential if you want to play in a cyberpunk setting. Don't forget to also grab Augmented Reality PLUS from DriveThruRPG, as it adds a couple more stuff.
The og system on which Neon Skylines is based, is fantasy instead of Cyberpunk. It also works quite well for implementing stuff like skill checks and combat.
A good supplement for Heroic Tales, offering additional options for stuff like skills and enemies.
The grid-filling and (optional) sigil-creating mechanics are pretty cool.
Useful worksheets for keeping track of stuff in Apothecaria (especially Ailments).
This is a good ruling family history writing game, with a fairly intuitive gameplay loop, a variety of events to keep things from getting repetitive, and even mechanics that can help lead to an ending to prevent things from stretching indefinitely.
A useful tool for Lineage to record the family tree, that eases the recording process by providing predefined spaces for the stuff one might want to note.
Useful additional tables for Lineage.
This is a good way to try one's hand at a ruling family history writing game without committing to the full Lineage experience from the get-go (since it's apparently based on the 1st, somewhat simpler but also less varied, version of Lineage). Though it should be noted that you should be prepared to reroll some results if you aren't into the grimdark eldritch horror stuff of Mork Borg and can't interpret the prompts you get at first in a more neutral manner.
Works well as a oneshot. And has an uncommon setting too to boot.
Definitely a better postapocalyptic exploration game than Fallout 4, especially as it doesn't involve shooting at everything.
Works well enough for a one-off. The way its gameplay works, it felt more like a game (i.e. akin to a boardgame, but without a board) rather than an rpg, as the gameplay loop isn't very conducive to the narrative play style I do most of the time. This isn't a negative though, as it thus served as a change of pace.
A useful utility for those games that require playing cards, since I usually don't feel like laying a bunch of actual playing cards around.
Contains conversion from dice to tarot, which seems pretty useful for games that require such things, since I don't have any tarot decks.
This technically isn't solo-specific, but it's rather helpful for looking up rules of the solo-friendly Dragonbane TTRPG without flipping all over the rulebook, though it doesn't include the solo Dragonbane ruleset.
Basically the gateway drug to solo roleplaying, though in retrospect its rule system didn't vibe with me all that much.
An interesting Assassin's Creed-themed hack for Ironsworn. Though I didn't vibe too much with the og system, this might still be worth a try.
Deserves to be added to this collection for its interesting concept, though again I didn't vibe too much with the Ironsworn ruleset.
This seems interesting to play as a oneshot.
