A list of games I personally have been able to get working on the Steam Deck, whether that be through Proton or by using native Linux versions.
A kart racer horror game? It's more likely than you think! An absolutely gorgeous send-up of Mario Kart 64 with a delightfully shocking horror twist.
The native Linux version works perfectly fine on Steam Deck, complete with native gamepad support. I highly recommend using the "-f" command in the Launch Options to force the game to load fullscreen, otherwise the game will appear small in the top-left corner (there is a fullscreen option in the Settings menu that works, but it's not remembered between playthroughs so it will always boot in the top-left corner unless you use the "-f" Launch Option).
The linux version of this works perfectly fine on the Steam Deck with no tricks or workarounds nessecary. The game doesn't seem to natively support gamepads though, so you will have to manually set up Steam Input with keyboard controls (I recommend making sure the Start button is set to the Enter key).
Now, good luck trying to play FNF with a gamepad. 馃拃
A really fun clone of the classic web-browser game "NANACA鈥燙RASH!!" featuring HoloLive characters! Not only does this have great graphics and audio, but it also builds upon the Nanaca Crash formula with rouge-like style upgrades. Even those who aren't in the HoloLive fandom will enjoy this easy to pick-up game.
The native Linux version works great on Steam Deck with no tweaking required.
An absolutely amazing demake of Bloodborne that feels truly authentic to the original Playstation, right down to those crispy, crispy polygons. I myself have never played a Soulsborne game, not even Bloodborne, and yet I still found myself thoroughly enjoying the challenging gameplay. Lilith Walther has truly knocked it out the park!
Works great on Steam Deck using Proton!
As someone who grew up with the Sega Master System version of Sonic, this fan-remake fills me with so much joy. This remake keeps everything that was fun and unique about the original in-tact, while also adding some extra content, as well as some wonderful quality-of-life features that makes the game far more accessible. Truly the "Rayman Redemption" of the Sonic world.
Works great on Steam Deck using Proton (Windows version).
Update 19/08/2023: HoloCure is now officially available through Steam, complete with Steam Achievements! Still works great on Steam Deck using Proton, no tweaking required!
