A list of games I played for my Horror Night streams!

A PS1 style short horror game. As it is the creator's first project, I probably should have been a bit gentler on the feedback when I streamed it. ;-;
For a first game, it's pretty decent! Certainly better than what I'd put out if I made a game for the first time. I will say it was kind of easy to see that the car light flashing was coming from obscure, non-car sources, and even those without photosensitivity may struggle to look at the game during the chase segment. Flashing lights are something to use sparingly for sure. That said, speaking of the chase segment, for a first-timer, that was pretty good! I was expecting a scare of some sort of course because horror games, but I still flustered a bit!
That said, there was some confusion as to the elevator being lit up on the lower floor. It looks like a secondary option, even if the one above said it was broken. I would say, even with a linear game, or because of it, I prefer games that can build more tension for the final scare and not give it away.
Another, older game made by the creator of Therapy with Dr. Albert Kreuger. The fact it was an earlier project kind of shows as it was a little janky, and the gameplay assets are a bit rough around the edges, but the actual art assets are unsurprisingly great and the story is quite interesting. Apparently there are three endings, but sadly I did not know this at the time I was streaming, and would not have had the time even if I did. Guess you'll have to find them yourself by checking the game out!
An expanded version of this game can be found on Steam, or purchased on its itch.io page!
One of my favourite GB style indie horror games. Very well made, and they've even updated it with more content since the last time I played it! They are still working on patches as well. My advice; take your time. It may have several endings, but it's still a short game. Don't rush it, work it like a puzzle. Have patience... just like when fishing!
Technically a game that has had more exposure than other games I usually stream for Horror and Indie Night, but I dunno, I guess I felt the itch to go back to it. It's like horror Tetris with physics, a minor 'demon farm animal' aspect, and a really bizarre yet intriguing story.
A short, virtual pet horror game, made by the creator of the FAITH horror game series. This game was actually commissioned by the Finnish studio that made the horror film it promotes. As expected of short games designed as promotional material, especially for other, more linear mediums, the concept of choice falls flat. The ending is the same no matter what you do. This would have been better as a dedicated game.
Not terrible, certainly better than other promo games of its type, but- just like movies based on video games- it falls to the curse of stunted immersion.

More of a 'thriller' than a horror, this game is a dark point 'n' click with stunning art design and a series of intriguing short stories. The fact this story-rich game is considered free to play is actually shocking, but I suppose it may be due to the fact that the average playtime is roughly 3 hours. I'm captivated enough I would like to do a full playthrough, which I initially expected would have been something much longer, but as the game is much shorter than expected, I can probably do this one soon and in a single stream. I HIGHLY recommend picking up the game yourself and showing the devs some support either on itch.io or Steam!
Not technically tagged with 'horror', but I consider it one. I was certainly horrified by the impact of my decisions. I don't even know why I played this game once, let alone a second time. If you're an animal lover, this game will be really rough for you. This is another one of those meta games, possibly the first meta game I've played, back when it released. Even though I mostly remembered what happens, it didn't stop me from audibly becoming distressed because, well, I love all creatures. If you somehow have a heart made of more stone than mine or maybe you enjoy suffering, give this a go.
This is one of those 'meta games' (games that interact with you via files or in-game), and a curious one at that. I have a feeling there is more to test with this game beyond the playthrough that I've done, mostly having to do with what you do with the meta files. This is usually the part where I tell you where you can find the game to play it yourself, but it seems the game has been wiped from npckc's itch.io page. Now, this is what I really meant by 'curious game'. I did not realize this until creating the highlight from my VOD that attempting to access the game's old link (jam version) takes you to a blank upload with no download option. Upon clicking somewhere on the top half of the black space, you are taken to a website with a countdown, titled "go away".
UPDATE: The countdown website is now a promotional website for a full release of the game on Steam! I have already installed the demo and will be streaming it just in case there's additional content not found in the game jam version (although I suspect the two builds are the same). I will also play the full version when it releases this summer.
A game slowly rising to more popularity since the first time I played it a year or two ago off-stream. There's even a sequel coming out! As with many horror games, there is more going on than meets the eye, even with the more in-your-face (literally) spooks. The pixel graphics are a great compliment to the art used in the game and promotionals.
A short horror game where everything must be Pink. There's obviously some implied lore to this game, but not much chance to really explore it beyond personal interpretation. One of the less "scary" horror games for sure, the music/ambience was probably spookier than the game itself. A horror game for people who can't handle horror I suppose.
A horror game I found so interesting, I've decided to turn it into a full playthrough on Twitch. I was not expecting the lengths this game would have me go in order to find the truth. Hopefully without spoiling it too much, I would describe this type of game as... an "infohorror" (infohazard horror, and yes, I would in fact like to coin this term haha). I personally would like to see more games make use of the 'Roko's Basilisk' meta archetype.
While I was expecting this to be a comedy horror, it was definitely more comedy than horror. More like a parody or satire of horror. Still, it was a cute little game!
A unique take on a classic horror trope. This one-bit style, point-n-click psychological horror sends you- a father- to a haunted mansion to find your missing child. However, this mansion is not 'haunted' in the traditional sense of the word. There is something much... much more sinister at work in this place, with a history much darker than mere ghost stories...
I only wish there was more of the game itself. It feels incomplete. I was so convinced there must be at least a second path because you're able to keep the music tape instead of use it, or not find it at all. I'd like to see this game jam title go on to become something bigger because grouflon has something really great going on here.
