Not all of them are finished, not all of them work - but they're mine and I love them.
My 6th major project in Unity.
Second year in Uppsala University. Solo-developed in a span of 5 weeks, displayed at Gotland's Game Conference.
I conceptualized Project 4X during the quarantine. It would be my first steps in the strategy genre - finally a game that I'd like to play. Then life happened, followed by lots of work, and the idea was put on a hiatus.
Project 4X for me is a return to my personal creative process, unhindered now by the limited skillset I had in the past. This is my first game.
My fifth Unity project. Second year in Uppsala University.
Seven weeks project, developed for Gotland's Game Conference, under the Arcade category.
In CODA you conduct the end of the world, with a custom made conductor's baton and your own body, enabled by the Kinect.
My fourth Unity project.
A small game for Uppsala University. Developed in 7 weeks, by a team of two.
It had to be SHMUP and we were given a prompt. Felt more like a game jam than an actual production. We also had to make every single aspect of the assets.
It's probably the ugliest one yet, but the IKEA effect is playing with my mind. First game I ever created art for, first game I've had someone make a Let's Play for.
48h Global Game Jam entry in 2022
A very tiny puzzler that was pretty fun to do. Very important scoping lesson.
During that weekend I actually realized I really wanted to do a fully-fledged FP puzzle game.
My third major project in Unity. Third year in SAE Athens.
To complete our education we had to write a thesis. I chose a very complex theme of exploring ethical monetization and dark game design patterns in games, but I was also forced to do a technical prototype.
I pulled this together in less than a month and while completely preoccupied with the actual writing.. At the time, my programming and graphics skills weren't that great, and the game itself is unfortunately not playable.
I did not affect my studies, but it affected me. After finishing with my education I stepped away for a while.
My second major project in Unity, second year in SAE Athens.
Developed in about two months. Group of four, ended up taking ownership of mostly everything.
I imagined a unified ecosystem of mobile games, where through a shared economy or a premium currency and cosmetics you could provide a lot more value for the customer and drive up loyalty and engagement.
This is a very simple demo of that. A small collection of mini-games that are arbitrarily connected. We fought with time, and we lost, but it's still the first playable game that I made.
