Not a beer!
Adventure
A Game of Eldritch Pratfalls
A game of hunters unraveling hauntings (or being unraveled by them) in the style of horror films.

Darkest Hour is a horror tabletop game designed for one-shot horror sessions. It can be played as a GMless game or with a GM, and can accommodate 2 to 5 players (with or without a GM) for one to two play sessions totaling 2 to 5 hours. It can be played with as little as the book and three six-sided dice.

A GM-less solo AND co-op TTRPG where you are involved in a Cold War between two factions
A role-playing game where you will discover how one of the characters dies (Maybe you are the dead one!)
Create a Killer, Escape the Mansion
A Dangerous and Evil House for your Tabletop RPG
A Micro Rpg For One Player

A solo micro RPG built using the Havoc Engine (as seen in Eat The Reich).

The setup: You wake up in the sub-level basement of the hotel. You can't remember your name or face. In your pocket, you find a photo of a target and a note that reads... "You are a Psycho Killler."

You'll need: a standard set of RPG dice as well as a fistful of extra D6s. Fill out the Character Report and head to the elevator.

The game: each floor has an objective and a threat. You select a stat and roll that many dice, allot successes, take injuries, and repeat. When the objective is complete, the elevator (however improbable) appears to take you up higher.

Even in the Backrooms, the mail must go through...

Everyone in the occult underground is familiar with Trystero, the unassailable and secret mail service. Everyone knows the Trystero is secure and extremely fast. Less people know it achieves this alacrity by sending its certified Couriers through a dangerous anomalous liminal space, the so-called "Backrooms." As part of a Courier’s crew, that's where you come in. Transporting packages through the Backrooms ain’t a job for one person. Sadly, your Courier has died, and only they knew the route. You need to find your way out with the packages intact or you might as well be dead. You’re fucked.

A Psychological Horror One Page Time Loop

Recursive Transit is a system agnostic one page time loop written for the 2024 One Page Dungeon Contest.  The train your party is riding in has slipped into the liminal space between the shadows of reality, traveling the same segment of track on an endless loop. To break the loop, your party will need to navigate the perils of the train and overcome its challenges, all while racing against the clock.

queer wrath in an endless suburb

An investigative survival horror game of anti-imagination

Nope turns the investigative horror genre on its side, as the players make rolls to rationalize away the strange and spooky things they encounter. But as the investigation wears on, your powers of denial weaken, creating a natural pacing mechanism to bring in the weird bit by bit until it's screaming in your face. Built on the Breathless system, Nope! is easy to pick and play for a no prep one-shot.

botanical zombie infection
A sewer-crawl adventure taking place under a burning city.

The flames mercilessly consumed a thick layer of grime, revealing golden painting frames, forgotten reliquaries and arcane tomes from before the time of the Basilisks.

However, the cursed fire has continued blazing, burning the books to ashes, while a stream of liquid gold has found its way to the sewers, where it continues flowing and mixing with the city’s excrements.  Onlookers still gather, unsure whether to fight against the blaze and save the temple, or to fan the flames and sate their avarice with molten gold.

a prop and urban legend for any modern horror game

Thus starts the narrative by an anonymous author, scrawled across three pieces of notebook paper and the literal back of an envelope, talking about how the mirror people are replacing people the author knows.

Intended to be used in a 20th-century horror tabletop RPG like The Lost Bay, there are no statistics or out-of-character advice so it can be used however you like, even simply enjoyed as weird microfiction. Based on all sorts of existing urban legends, old school folklore, and the 1987 song "Mirror People" by Love and Rockets.

A Socratic Worldbuilding Game by Michael Purcell

This is a worldbuilding game. It is intended to be played by a group of three to six players and can be played in about one hour.

You will assume the roles of townsfolk who reside in a quiet medieval village. Recently, local farmers have reported seeing some kind of exotic beast in the mysterious forest nearby. Their accounts strain credulity, not least because they are wildly inconsistent. The village aldermen have called a town meeting to discuss the situation and decide how to respond.
