Rise of Industry is a game that will most likely replace OpenTTD, but in a good way, even if it is in early stages of development it offers fair amount of stuff to do and try. Regular updates and lots of changes make you come back and play it over and over.
Very fun and interesting village builder. It's much harder than it looks like. I wouldn't mind seeing this continue with development :)
