This has really nice painted environments that are quite enjoyable to move through, although the story is ultimately fairly generic.
Melancholic, meditative, warm-hearted, with a Kentucky Route Zero easter egg that made me so happy.
I have not finished this game, because I'm very stuck, but it's excellent and I hate it. My favourite game involving trains.
For people who have their own life experience of the themes and situations in this game, it might feel a little basic or simplistic. However, the investigation element is quite good and the game could potentially be quite educational for players who have not had much exposure to the topics it deals with.
So simple to begin with, and then .... things escalate.
Making adorable snow friends is absolutely worth the trouble.
I've never felt so persecuted by carbon atoms in my life. Excellent puzzles that are extremely satisfying to solve. And there are even bonus facts to forget immediately learn!
The thing about water always flowing downhill is ... it can be a lot more complicated than it sounds. Very tranquil game with a few mechanics that are not quite self evident, but that you can figure out given time (and trial and error).
Very charming and chill game to have running in a browser tab while you go about your business -- or just launch occasionally, as progress continues if you close it, but having all my plant friends to hang out with and some gentle ambient sound was very nice.
Really nice tiny storytelling experience.
