a ttrpg for brightly-coloured heroes

Become the Teen With Attitude you always wanted to be

Inspired by tokusatsu hero teams and magical girl squads, PbC is a game about building a brightly-coloured Hero team and playing their adventures across a Series, fighting to save the world from evil! PbC brings all players together to collaborate on crafting a Series, with its own aesthetics for heroes and villains, its own setting, and unique qualities for each hero. Play comprises the Episodes of the Series: both the Heroes' lives, and fights against Boss characters. It uses a relatively straightforward d6 system and encourages the Hero players to think about how their individual actions work towards a team strategy, bolstering allies and keeping momentum!

A game of multiplicity

You are the galaxy's most famous bounty hunter, but nobody knows your real name, or what your real voice sounds like. In fact, you've never taken your helmet off in public, at least as far as anybody knows!

The interstellar tabloids have accused any number of public figures of secretly being you. They are, of course, all wrong. The real reason you never remove your helmet is that you're actuallya bunch of space gerbils operating a human-size mech suit.

You're very keen on not letting this get out.

A Lasers & Feelings hack about not taking any more shit from polite society

You are the workers of DungeonMart.  You’re also not getting paid nearly enough for all the nonsense you put up with. It’s time to create a little chaos and disrupt the business as usual.

Talking animals terrorize a summer camp

Westgladia is a rules-lite TTRPG where you play as a woodland critter recruited by an alliance of talking animals led by a council of wise owls to raid a nearby summer-camp (and do all kinds of other zany missions). Earn new powers through merit badges pilfered from campers or awarded for great feats of heroism such as the coveted Golf badge which grants you an infinite supply of golfballs looted from the driving range, the Crime Prevention badge which lets you call the cops, the Traffic Safety badge which allows you to uncover the secrets of how to cross the highway without getting hit by a truck, and a bunch more (36 in total).

A hyperfixation RPG for 2+ players

ONESIX HYPERFIX is a game where 2 or more players roll random hyperfixations, and try to have a normal conversation while each tries to naturally nudge the topic towards their hyperfixation.

A slapstick romp about an unlikely hero!

In “Madame Mayor!” you and your friends will play as the Strings attached to and controlling the town’s new puppet leader, Madame Mayor. Individually, you are uncoordinated and nearly talentless, but in concert, you are Townsville’s only hope at putting its history of greed and dysfunction squarely in the past.

Each of you, whether Head or Hand Strings, have unique abilities, and in contributing them to the collective, Madame Mayor will sail her way through her weekly mayoral duties and serve her constituents with Muppet-like fervor. Attend municipal assemblies! Enact lofty statutes! Cut satin ribbons with comically large scissors!

A Caltrop Core TTRPG of cosmic chaos in a cab - with cats!

Space Taxi is a zany Tabletop RPG for 1-4 players and a GM, where players are all passengers of the same taxi taking them on a journey through outer space! Each character type has their own goal to complete before the trip is over, and will encounter all kinds of things along the way. But watch out for the Space Cats - these adorable little fluffballs can be as mischeivous as they are cute!

The game where the goal is to be ready to play the game later.

In “Wrath of Session Zero” you play as a group of RPG fanatics who have all agreed to play a cool new indie RPG from a recent trendy game jam. The only problem is that you all agreed you wanted to start playing today, and not one of you is ready with a full character sheet yet.

A Mallcrawl Odyssey About Credit Cards and Escalators

You Are Here is an 85-page modern TTRPG fever dream about surviving super mega hyperculture in the never-ending Mall of the Infinite. Within its infinite halls, mallgoers will explore the absurdity of the American subconscious in search of Escalators—legendary mechanisms of movement that lead up, up, up to the fabled Exit on the tippy-top floor.

Along the way, you'll hunt for the Silverdollar Serpent in the Great Fountain, thwart the best-laid plans of villainous fashion moguls, decline the poetic athletica of the Peloton Cultists, and rack up a hefty bill with your brand-new Infinitas no-limit credit card.

The Organ Stays is a rules-light tabletop roleplaying game about defending your church's organ. It is inspired by the Home Alone movie franchise and other silly micro-RPGs such as Lasers & Feelings by John Harper. The dice-rolling system takes inspiration from Apocalypse World.

an infernally fun game

Heckhounds is game of hellfire and tail wags. You and your littermates were sent to Earth to hunt an escaped damned soul. Business as usual, right? Except this time you got the bodies of mortal, Earth puppies rather than the hellhound bodies you'd normally get. The nature of the puppy in you is strong, and you've got to keep from blowing your cover while you hunt down your target!

... you all start in a tavern

Downtime is about what happens in the Tavern between adventures. Every character, all your relationships, and the events of the session are randomly generated. Character abilities are largely free-form, and the game is turned toward madcap, over-the-top fun.

Tabletop roleplaying game about serving a Great Monolith

We’re going to a fantasy world where a community worships the Great Monolith (GM). Noble Petitioner Characters (NPCs)—are granted visions from the GM and are duty-bound to follow those instructions (insofar as they can interpret what that huge rock actually means).

When you and your friends play OBEY THE GM!, you'll see how well your group of NPCs manage to do the GM's bidding. One of you will be the GM, providing quests. Another is the Priest of the Cosmos (PC), in charge of the world. Everyone else creates and plays an NPC.

OBEY THE GM! grew from a joke and my views on player roles in role-playing games—equal parts comedy, manifesto, and roleplaying game.

A comedic roleplaying game about space exterminators, misunderstood monsters and corporate bullshit

Intergalactic Kammerjäger is a comedic roleplaying game about low wage space exterminators and strange alien pests. You play as the cast of a sitcom, caught between misunderstood space monsters, ungrateful customers and the struggles of modern business life. Together you will create a shared vision of your own show.

A game about filmmaking.

You are a group of filmmakers occupying various roles in a  small film production. This includes actors, editors, screenwriters and different heads of departments. You must impress the Director with your vision of the film, show how groundbreaking and unique it is compared to what your peers have in mind.

Lights! Camera! Drama! is a humorous, fast-paced hack of Drama! Drama! And The Queen. To play you need 2-3 players, 5 6-sided die per player, a piece of paper and a pen.

A Bad Time Game of facing demons!

Rumor had it that if you read a secret spell at midnight in the graveyard, you would be able to make all your dreams come true. Unfortunately, suspicious spells often have a way of going awry, and in your case it summoned the dreaded Mephistopheles! Now you have to call on the angels in order to put this damn demon down. But, there’s a catch - they’ll only help you if you perform card tricks and feats for their amusement. Inscrutable? Yes. Unfair? Extremely. But if you want a chance to take on the Lord of Darkness, you’d better summon the heart of the cards!

Demons Be Damned is a one-page game that alternates between doing card tricks for boons and using the Bad Time System to lay the smack on a demon! It was designed specifically for the One Page RPG Jam 2023!

What really happens at school? Play to find out.

"What's Popping, Fellow Kids" is for all the adults wondering: just what goes on at school all day? Take on the role of cringy outsider and let your kid set the scene -- just in time for you to chew it all up. Savor all the details you never hear about.

Here's just a few of the things I learned playing this game with my own kids:

  • Ms. [Redacted] spends a lot of class time reading at her desk.
  • Lunch is a battlefield. (OK, I already knew that -- but now I know the combatants.)
  • Yes, kids are still making paper noisemakers. And using them.

Skirmish Battling in a Post-Dungeon Fantasy World

RADCrawl is a skirmish tabletop roleplaying toybox where professional Crawlers take on various battle challenges. This game is meant to evoke the roster of characters from a game like Super Smash Bros, with a skirmish system familiar to Dungeons & Dragons players, and the childlike sensation of bashing action figures together. The focus is all on the fighting in this one with every bit of mechanics aimed to give tactical brawling fun.

High fantasy kart racing. Mind your tail!

In Deadly Kobold Racing, you and your friends will race as small fantasy creatures through dangerous tracks, hurling weapons and abilities at each other while you aim for the goal. You’ll play a racer on the track and off of it, going from race to race to claim the greatest glory.

Deadly Kobold Racing is a game for 2 to 6 players, each player taking on the role of one of the racers. If you are playing it exclusively for the racing, then all players will have the same role. If you are playing it with the intention of telling a larger story about the characters behind the karts, you’ll also have a GM who will help to propel the story by setting scenes, describing locations, and playing characters in the world who aren’t at the table.

a one page solo game of avoiding work at the paranormal institute

Your job as a field researcher is to protect paranormal phenomena in a world of real monsters. Except for today, because today you’re on desk duty. How will you waste time till evening falls?

Wasted Hours is a roleplaying game for one about making the hours pass at an office desk. You will roll dice and write down on your timesheet the ways you waste time.

Wasted Hours is a game for 1 player and takes about 30 minutes.

a TRPG about living your best life in spite of human drama

We are Goblins who were brought to live in the human Castle. The Queen and her Court know Goblins are mystical creatures, but don’t understand what that means — and neither do we.
Magic is just a goblin thing, we’ve never needed to think about it much.

While we work on our own goals, the Queen sets us strange and marvelous tasks rife with hidden political pitfalls. She expects us to cast fortunes and conjure, to aid her schemes or alleviate her boredom.
Be careful: the Court is fulled with politics, personal problems, human drama, and all sorts of other things confusing to a goblin. If we help each other, our compassion and cleverness — with maybe a bit of Goblin Magic — can see us through.

A GM-less TTRPG and dice game about a deadly cooking competition in the weird post-apocalypse

Death Cap Sauté is a GM-less TTRPG and dice game for 2 to 5 players and is meant to be played in a single session. Each player takes the role of 3 culinary team members representing their restaurant that has entered a deadly cooking competition. Make the best dishes and impress the judges to earn Shroomps. The restaurant with the most Shroomps at the end wins!
