My first submission, written in RPGMaker very quickly: a homage to the wonderful FTL Dungeon Master game.
I loved this game!
Synopsis: The protagonist is a lost little girl, looking to go home...
Story: Incredibly well-paced: a lot of danger and spookiness abound! You really do feel trapped and vulnerable throughout the game. The ending is where it goes a bit crazy - but that is also a good thing.
Gameplay: The puzzles are not the focus of this game: you are instead tasked with surviving the horrors of the forest and the village and finding answers to your past. Many times, you only get one chance to do things, so make the right choices and then keep running!
Look and feel: Beautiful hand-drawn scenery, wondeful music, brilaint writing - very good.
Summary: 4.5 / 5.0: You should take a trip to this very dark place, an hour of your day but the memories will linger far longer. The explanation of what happens at the end may require you to talk to a squirrel and a cat, but then it is that sort of game. Gothic, fun, memorable, recommended.
