This list has some of my favorite erotic games, those that I enthusiastically recommend and follow eagerly. I have another collection for less effusive recommendations.
In terms of my taste, what I tend to value on erotic games:
Amazing game. Funny, heartfelt, interesting plot, and very sexy. Definitely one of my favorites.
One of the best erotic games I played, story and characters are interesting and the sex scenes are good. Love the art style, despite not being finished it has incredible amounts of good art, and the systems are interesting. It is an interesting dark fantasy setting, dark but not completely awful and miserable all the time. Lot of variety in sex scenes and kinks.
Notice that the itch version is very outdated and is never updated. The game is constantly growing in scope so it is still far from finished, though it is already humongous.
Very good, if short, visual novel. Very sexy, characters are really likable, art is very good. Really looking forward for the sequels (this is night one of 3, the last one is still not out).

Very good visual novel with a sci-fi theme. It has an interesting setting, with various cool alien species you learn about, and both the main plot and side stories are good. Sex scenes are quite good, though I'm not a huge fan of this kind of 3d art.
Has a bit of "porn ridiculousness", like futuristic alien armor bikinis and sex pollen, but not too much; it works as sci-fi and erotica.
This is Ready Player One, if it was actually any good. It takes the premise but adds a plot that is actually intriguing, cool scenes and characters. It is a bit cliche, specially the characters, but if Spielberg can get away with it an indie adult VN is more than fine.
The main problem is that the main character and his harem are overpowered, and solve everything too easily and too fast. But it still has plenty of character development, scenes that are interesting and funny, and the dynamics between the characters are good. Also, very high production values, very polished.
The story is interesting, and there are so many characters with their own arcs. Very polished and the sex scenes are quite good.
Nice adventure game with interesting characters, a bit of self-aware humor, and some nice exploration. Puzzles are alright, and if necessary you can skip some minigames. I like the art style and the sex scenes are alright.

Really well done and interesting text-based game, nice universe and characters and plot and good RPG mechanics. The kinks are really not my jam, quite extreme for me, but it is so good it is still worth it and it has a comprehensive system for choosing what you don't want to see at all.
Despite the problematic premise, the game is self-aware and avoids authorial endorsement of the abuse, while creating a funny plot - the main character is a total weirdo and creep, and that is made fun of constantly. Still somewhat dark, but the storylines are actually interesting and fun, and the sex scenes are good. A bit of BDSM, but nothing extreme. Not a huge fan of the 3d art, but it works.
More comedy than explicit sex (plenty of full nudity though), but really good management game, really good comedy, characters are great. This is the demo, the full game is on steam and there is a DLC to enable the full lewdness.
Interesting "futanari" game, in an intriguing setting with a plot that made me legitimately curious. It has some cuckoldry parts, though avoidable, and plenty of interesting characters. You need the incest patch otherwise the replacement words are extremely silly .
