Play this. If there is a single game that you play off of my recommended list, this is the one. SoulSet is a sleeper hit that deserves exponentially more traction than it already has. It is the only game I have 100% on steam.
The story is great. There is a lot of lore. The characters are AMAZING. There is a mystery that will unravel as you play, and you will not at all mind going through to do so.
I recommend using a NO-SPOILERS walkthrough to do things in the proper order to make sure that you experience the story as intended. This is without a doubt, the BEST visual novel/otome/mystery game/etc that I've ever played.

There is a lot of love put into the crafting of this game, complex lore, multiple routes, and an interesting set of love interests. Can customize your MC. Stats based system that reflects the choices you make. Art work is phenomenal and really sets the theme of the dark world its set in. The game is honestly great, and I can't wait to see what this Dev does next.
The one complaint I have is the amount of routes that have you land back on the "common" route particularly at the end of the game. But each route does let just a little more of the lore shine through, one of them telling you much more than the rest.
One of the best options out there for a romance VN. Free, engaging, and has an interesting story with a group of LIs with vastly different personalities and backgrounds. You will cry.
Get this one instead of the other version. The story is nearly identical, but I found this one much more enjoyable and emotionally fulfilling.
One of the best VNs I've played. There is a common route, but there are many differences in the routes once you leave it. The cast is interesting and has a very interesting coming of age dynamic to it.
Your brother will frustrate you to no end though, especially after you've already played one route.

To be honest, I haven't ever played the complete version of this game. I played it a couple years ago when it was still early in development, but I still recommend it. The story is great and the cast is delightful.
It's honestly great. The story is charming, and there's a lot of interesting directions that it takes. Each route is different, which I find enjoyable in a VN.
One complaint is that the MC is kind of a dolt, which can be frustrating at times. Oh, and I would like more expansion on what exactly the hell is going on. But I still loved it.
This was my introduction to the Otome genre all the way back in 2016. While not perfect, this collection is still incredible. Interesting cast of characters with a ton of romanceable options. Voice acting, male and female love interests. Deaths, bad ends, fluff, drama, sex, and high stakes.
This series also does the rarely properly executed act of delivering on a sequel that is arguably better and more engaging than the original game.
Fandisk for Cinderella Phenomenon, which is a absolute must for the genre. This consists of some cute after the main story moments, showing Lucette furthering her relationships with the LIs. No bad ends, no deaths. Just fluff all around.
I bought this a while ago, and its continued to improve since then. A cute colony sim with an interesting and diverse cast. There are some interesting use of mechanics (and a blind one, but different kind of mechanic), and this game really explores what it means to get life started on a new planet. Give it a try.
Fun erotic game with a "battle" mechanic. Manage your brothel and raise the stats on your girls to take care of clients and go on an adventure. The art is great, and the tone is light and fun. It never takes itself too seriously, and all in all is just a great experience when you're bored and have no interest in thinking too hard.
I'm also friends with one of the artists who works on the outfits for the game, particularly the special event outfits and such. They do great work, and the team seems to be a delight from what I've heard.

Great game with a complex story. It's very long though. I have not played the complete version, but I hope to one day when I have the attention span. There are parts that seem to drag, but there is a lot going on here and it's delightful to watch unravel.
Cute little game that follows in the footsteps of the classic RPGmaker games you know and love. The pixel graphics are great, and the puzzles are fun and a bit unique at times. Can run into some difficult sections, but its something that is genuinely new and fresh in the genre. And there's minimal backtracking, which is always a bonus for this genre.
