Slay is a dungeon-crawling adventure game for 3 or more players that blends old and new school sensibilities. In this download you will find a complete 9-page game of dungeoneering goodness.
Enter Deaths' Tarnished, a TTRPG steeped in grim echoes of old-school fantasy, free from traditional classes. As a Tarnished, you, having glimpsed the void, wield the soul's power. Trained in Monster hunting, you step into the world to settle a haunting debt.
Players will take on the role of unpaid interns working for SolTech Industries, a perfectly ethical research consortium funding a Better Tomorrow! Of course, when these experiments get out of hand, our fine interns are deployed to clean up.
As we do, I wrote a simple little game document, trying out some different mechanics, integrated with Mark of the Odd.
BLUELITE is designed for playing classic Level 1-3 TTRPG adventures with the standard abilities and classes but with fewer rules (i.e., “with the flavor but not the crunch”). BLUELITE is Holmes Basic with the rough edges rounded off, a streamlined schematic hack using a common d20 mechanic where higher rolls are better. Probabilities of success approximate the original but on a d20: for instance, a 2-in-6 chance to force open a door is now a 14 or higher on a d20.
The Cat Hack takes the OSR rules of The Black Hack (1E) and modifies it to work with a minimalist setting where the player characters are all cats!
Fallow Ground is a table-top roleplaying game that draws from the folklore of the lowlands. Spells are open-ended and combat is deadly. There are no levels, but your statistics improve as you purge horrors and rot.
The files are all exclusively black and white, and the "old version" is relatively print-friendly. The new layouts (redux) version are prettier but will use much more ink.
The game is easily adaptable. It is designed to run hexcrawls for solo play, 1x1, or for small groups.
This version of the game contains a complete system and setting, including 24 unique enemies.
MiniGLOG is something I've been working on this last month. I wanted to distill an OSR game down to the barest components, make it as approachable as possible. And I think it works! Mostly inspired by the GLOG, as it says on the tin.
GLAIVE v2 is a rules toolkit for running old-school fantasy RPGs, created by Scott Wegener.
The rules support an adventure role-playing game in which characters raid mysterious structures in order to increase their fortunes. Exploration and wondrous discovery are central themes.
Only the foolhardy or desperate seek their fortunes in the dark mazes of the mythical underworld. Dirtbag tomb-robbers, scheming adventurers, and magic-addled wizards. Which are you?

Spellzard is a simple and flexible tabletop game inspired by old-school British roleplaying games. It captures the essence of wondrous and fantastical adventures in a light and quick manner. The rules are easy to understand and can be customized to suit different play styles and preferences.
This is my personal attempt to create an Into the Odd adjacent game while preserving the power and advancement of PCs from Old School Essentials in order to allow the game to be compatible with more old-school modules.
Journeys Weird and Winding (JWAW) is a weird-fantasy RPG built on the MÖRK BORG rules-light system and taking heavy inspiration from other adventure-focused games like DURF, Into the Odd and Troika!
This game aims to instill a sense of wanderlust into the risky and random systems of classic, OSR-inspired games. The Wandering Party is faced with a world where a magical apocalypse has annihilated our connection to reality and asked to make the adventure into it anyway. Pre-built character classes and clearly laid out progression systems lend themselves to an experience that gets Players into the action quickly and keeps them there for countless sessions of weird wandering.
If any of that sounds cool or weird or fun, check it out! I'd love to hear what you think in the comments (maybe a Twitter or Discord coming soon?).
Errant is a classic fantasy role-playing game in the vein of the first few editions of that role-playing game and its many imitators and descendants such as Knave, Into the Odd, and The Black Hack. It is freely compatible with material for all those games as well as the newest edition of that role-playing game, with conversion guides provided within.
𝙇𝙄𝙆𝙀-𝘼-𝙍𝙊𝙂𝙐𝙀 is a roguelike and dungeon crawl inspired OSR TTRPG focused on vocabulary limitations which force the players to search for out-of-the-box solutions for mundane rpg problems like: fighting basilisks, climbing a rope over a lava pool, or opening doors!
Thanks to its procedural nature and lack of a dedicated game master required, the game can be set up with zero preparation and enjoyed by all the players, who will be taking turns to both play their characters and generate new library levels.
A fantasy debt-delver melding OSR and Story game design.
Inspired by OSR(esque) games like
as well as Story game systems like
Suitable for simple old-style roleplaying faire—my synthesis of “dragon games” into the one I want to play and run. This is not a complete system. There are gaps, though fewer than ever before. You can fill them. I believe in you.
The new version of Bastards. includes:
Fantasy Location Exploration Encounters is a 36 page rules light adventure games, inspired by traditions of modern OSR such as Errant, Into the Odd, Knave, DURF, and Mausritter.
This game has been in development since 2020 and was first introduced as a one page rules reference titled 0.6e. After 2 years of development, FLEE is a return to the original vibe I was going for, but in an expanded and polished format.
This is the free rules PDF of The Electrum Archive. For a better look at the world of Orn consider picking up the first zine.
The Electrum Archive is a science-fantasy tabletop RPG, inspired by games like The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, Ultraviolet Grasslands, Suldokar's Wake, and Cairn. It is being developed through zines that detail parts of the world of Orn and add new rules and procedures for you to use at the table.
There are lots of games about dragons and adventure. This is the second edition of one of them.

Duty Hare takes place in the realm of Simulare, a world of swords, magic, and strangely high levels of personal debt. Unfortunately you have been shackled by the chains of that great beast known as capitalism, forcing you to become a Leporid - a taker of odd jobs that will force you to wander from dungeons to palaces to pubs.
