mini-review: jenny leclue is a detective-based exploration game that combines the aspects of point-and-click, puzzlers, choose your own adventure, and interactive games. a very nice game that has a bit of an atmospheric vibe to it through the audio (music and otherwise) and the overall presentation of the gameplay. the hand-drawn art also adds a flair to it that makes it unique to other games like it i've played. audio quality is fabulous, especially for a playable teaser. it was surprising how loud it actually was, but adored it. game quality seems pretty seamless as well; however, i did forget to catch the fps of the game, so i'll have to come back and edit this at sometime with it.
gameplay footage: found here on youtube / no commentary added.

mini-review: shift is your typical dodge and shoot type of game that's ridiculously fast. the problem with this game is that mouse acceleration is ridiculously intense and because of that, it's hard to control. on top of that, the game is brightly coloured to an almost intense level that with the way the speed of the movements are it's very uncomfortable. it's definitely deserves an epilepsy warning. in particular, it just made me motion sick. things that move way too fast or are too shaky make me incredibly ill and gives me a migraine. closing my eyes and playing this game were obviously not an option. that said, if it's someone's thing and the way it's created works for you, then i recommend it. it just wasn't my type of cold tea.
gameplay footage: none. i can't play it.
