POV: you are a funny little robot
Interactive Fiction
Play in browser
  • one of the most deeply moving twine games i've played, esp. as someone navigating the rocky path of career advancement as a marginalized person
  • wonderful exploration of what it means to be Ensouled wrt artificial intelligence
  • i cried for real please play
Open your heart.
Interactive Fiction
Play in browser
  • an absolutely breathtaking narrative about emotional guardedness with a sci-fi horror flavor
  • beautiful illustrations and overall presentation
  • genuinely a fantastic little story, a must if you enjoy interactive fiction
Can you build an actual ship only with trash parts? Yes you can!
Puzzle
Play in browser
  • cute little game that's genuinely fun to try to get better at
  • i love the aesthetics and the music is absolutely bumpin
  • v. nostalgic it reminds me of the flash games i'd fiddle around with as a kid

  • this largely self-referential domino club game is so stylishly lurid that it's worth playing even if u aren't familiar with the group's oeuvre i think !! slimy and weird without being too quirky
  • impressively convincing and nostalgic MS DOS style visuals (something i don't think gets pulled off well often)
  • i think i say this for every domino club game but its so nice to see dicks and boning in any piece of media what a breath of fresh air
body horror meet n fuck
Visual Novel
Play in browser
  • ooooh i could gush endlessly abt domino club games, i love every aspect of this -- the rusted over and wire-encrusted visuals, the uncomfortably eroticized body horror, All Of It
  • making aspects of the body analogous to different sectors of a space ship is so uniquely done, it makes sparks fly out of the part of my brain that loves nasty space machines
  • please be advised that this game is very gory and explicit before going in!
psychosexual paradiso
Visual Novel
Play in browser
  • i struggled a little to decide which of my categories i wanted to put this in. lgbt ??? furry ??? surreal ?? but i went with sci-fi in the end bc i genuinely wish there were more sci-fi stories like this (there is a cyborg in it). does that make sense
  • i love this piece so much i love the music i love the sound effects and visuals i love the prose it's so rare to find games this well written and poignant
  • narrative about intrusive thoughts, violence, and sexuality that will have you up at one a.m. in a sweat thinking to yourself for weeks
An AI is your only friend.
  • navigate two worlds -- the real and the digital -- alongside an AI that represents your only source of "human" interaction in a post-apocalyptic world
  • short but VERY good, i assume this was a response to the "remember places?" meme phrase during the pandemic and really does a great job capturing that sense of isolation
  • visuals are really cool too !! go play it!!!
interactive intimacy about being digital and in love
Interactive Fiction
Play in browser
  • thoughtful twine game about the relationship between an AI and a human -- follows just one conversation between them but does a lot with it
  • i wish i could've gotten even more with these two characters, i love the exploration of what it would mean for an AI to be in a relationship with somebody
  • not sure what else to add check it out!!!
Simulation
Play in browser
  • thoroughly weird sci-fi horror game couched in a "simulation"
  • i really like its bleak atmosphere, this is another game that just sticks with you
  • the visuals and how it depicts its "programness" (i.e. code, processes running) are really cool
Interactive Fiction
Play in browser
  • the style is lovely and cute, this would be rly interesting to play on an actual gameboy
  • the main "puzzle" is pretty simple but good, be sure to pay attention to dialogue!!
  • i'm a sucker for sci-fi games about blue collar workers tbh
ATMOSPHERIC TRESPASSING
Adventure
  • the atmosphere!! the visuals!! the sound design!! i wish real life had these shaders
  • wonderfully surreal, with a strange sort of dread to it -- it truly feels like a "broken dimension" you're ricocheting through
  • platforming is a bit fiddly but worth enduring just to be in this game
elegy for a cosmonaut
Interactive Fiction
Play in browser
  • nice contemplative little sci-fi bitsy game
  • the simplicity of the visuals lends really well to the story
  • feels earnest and doesn't dip into the Twee Zone
Experience the future now!
Racing
Play in browser
  • i mostly love this game because it reminds me of the awful Independence Day game for the ps1
  • that i inexplicably played an assload of as a kid even though it scared the shit out of me
  • fly around get the things idk enjoy the gritty sci-fi ps1 visuals
she will reach out in horror
Play in browser
  • SHADERS!!!!!!! this game  looks cool as fuck even though it's a computer melter (might be framey)
  • i loved the weird ominous "dialogue" from the AI
  • one of my fave games using the "program" as a framing device, something about it really hits
