Strong, bold comedic notes. Deals with traumatic topics well. The GIC sequence was genuinely evocative and harrowing, and reminded me of rumours I'd read over a decade ago that kept me in the closet.
It's a good game, buy it, play it.
It's Hypnospace Outlaw but with a much, MUCH more engaging story. It's so incredibly engrossing. The best way I can describe it is like if you time travelled to an alternative universe where trans communities were stuck in the 1980s/1990s, but the political environment was that of whatever dystopian hell we're going to be stuck in in 2030.
This made me long for friends, and specifically a relationship with those friends, that i have never had and am perhaps incapable of having. Something that never was, and probably never could be. Maybe it won't hit you as hard, but you should still play it.
(Windows version). It's honestly a lot better than I expected, even though the controls are kind of weird and clunky for some things.
(Windows version). Amazing, tbh. There's something perversely and instinctually satisfying about ramming and batting vases off tables. I now understand why cats do it.
(Windows build). Really, really good!!!!! holy shittt!!!!
(Windows build). So cute! Organizing/Exploring is difficult but, there are upgrades!
An absolutely delightful game that uses Rock/Paper/Scissors in a really unique and inventive way. I look forward to the other things this person came out with, and it influenced at least some of my modern witchy sensibilities.
(Android build). A curious little game! Fun playthrough, not sure how to get other cards though.
(Linux build). Really good! Love the writing!!!
(Linux build). Seemed to stutter a lot, couldn't find the controls rebinding, and it assumed I had a gamepad.
(Windows build). Worked fine. Really fun, as I remember it :)
(Linux build). ABSOLUTELY RECOMMENDED. Also, save+load as a game mechanic????? Amazing.
(Linux build). Really good game, didn't get past the second level.
There's a bug I reported with the menu where it repeatedly cycled over every single option in the menu and didn't respond to clicks, it's a miracle I managed to play, and a miracle I managed to exit. The developer put in some options specifically for me! Really nice! I need to try the new version with those options.
(Linux build). Got through to level 3-3. Beautiful game, I love the fourth wall breaking.
(Linux build). Very, very good.
It's incredibly sad that this game has languished, forgotten. It deserved to inspire a whole new genre.
(Linux build). An utterly beautiful experience that brought me to tears.
(Linux build). VERY GOOD. Played it in a first session for two hours, completely accidentally. A much better FTL. I love it.
Only problem I have with it - I wish fuel wasn't used as much, often it's an easier choice to just go from sector to sector and see if you land near a planet than it is to go searching for one.
(Linux build). This... it hits really hard. I don't think I can label this in any significant way. You should play it.
(Linux build). Really, really good. I had to take a break after the first two days. Good ending, very very good.
(Linux build). Really good! You should play it!
