Chapter Five - Tower in the Trees

Head through the forest and into the tower at the beginning of Chapter Four, and cross the first floor to the ladder. On the second floor find the ladder on the left wall and head up immediately to the third floor. Cross this room to the pentagram in front of the next ladder. It will ask "Have you fed the flowers yet?"


 Head back down to the second floor and find the sack that isn't stacked with the others; click on it to get plant food. There is also an item in this room that is a trigger for the good ending. Find the map sitting on the floor against the left wall and pick it up. It will show up in your Achievements, indicating its trigger. 


Return to the third floor. You can now feed the six plants in the room, and proceed up the next ladder.

The fourth floor will be a trap, which will be triggered when you attempt to climb the next ladder. Shadow Ana and Shadow Tomoya will appear and pursue the player; Shadow Ana moves quickly and consistently toward the player, while Shadow Tomoya disappears and reappears near the player. Both of them will kill Ana on contact. Find the bottle of shampoo at the southernmost point of the room and pick it up; now Ana will automatically throw the shampoo into the Shadows' eyes, blinding them and sending them into their death.

Head to the fifth floor. In this room, the player will need to use the directional floor tiles to navigate to the next ladder, and some of the tiles routinely alternate between two possible directions. The route, as well as the tiles to watch out for are shown below

Head up to the sixth floor and cross to the table on the right. Click on the tea to trigger the next scene.

After the cutscene, leave Tomoya and head back down the tower. On your way down, a Letter can be found on the second floor to record your progress. Trying to leave out the front door will make Ana realize she and Tomoya are in danger and she needs to create a distraction; before going back up the ladder, stop over at the furnace to find flint stones. 

Now your objective is to set fire to something on every floor (except the first floor and the watery floor, because they are inflammable). You only have to set one fire per floor to progress (but you can set as many as you want). When you return to the princess' room, approach the wall with the plant painting on it (you'll notice a strange shadow). Click here to release a hidden ladder to the attic.

To escape the tower, the player needs to make it to the window, but Princess Maev will appear before Ana and Tomoya can leave. 


This will result in another critical player choice. Tomoya will ask Ana if she is sure the princess is actually their enemy.  For the bad ending, say Yes. For the good ending, say No.

Following the choice, the player will escape the tower, but will be pursued by a dragon. You will need to take a specific path to avoid your party being attacked, as it is an instant death, but the player will be returned to the start of the pursuit rather than given an instant Game Over. The correct path is shown below:


On the next map, continue running to the right (you won't die here). If you triggered the good ending, you will skip the next scene. 

If you triggered the bad ending: Ana will discover she's alone and in one of her memories. Interact with Young Ana to start the cutscene, and when it finishes, interact with Tomas.

The player will then be transferred to the next map. Head to the right and down the steps to find a path. 

ProTip: The Achievement "Chocolate Tea" confirms you've hit the good ending trigger.
