Patch Notes 1.1.0

Today's the day! 1.1.0 is live! Here are the patch notes below!

I'll be uploading a trailer later today as well!

Additions

  • Player housing
    • 1 Small house, 1 Medium house
    • Purchasable/craftable interior furniture (~45 objects).
  • New stats
    •  DEF: Resistance to physical attacks from enemies.
    •  M.DEF: Resistance to magical attacks from enemies.
      •  Note: Elemental damage exists for both forms! For example, someone inflating you with a water hose would do physical LIQUID damage, whereas someone inflating you with a magical stream of water would do magic LIQUID damage.
    •   Luck: Modifies drop rates for items up to a flat cap of +30%  
      • Ex: A 1% drop chance item would become a 31% chance to drop with maxed out LUCK.
      •  One point of luck = a 1% increase in drop rates.
  • Equipment Enchanting
    • Scraps can be crafted into runes to enchant your gear with bonus stats.
  • New status effects (see in-game glossary for details).
  • New items.
  • New NPCs.
  • New NPC item interactions.
  • New “bad ends”.
  • New locations & side areas.
  • New accessories.
  • Added off-hand slot items for all classes. 
  • New Voodoo class 
    • TLDR: Uses poppets to inflate enemies with potent status ailments.
  • Major class reworks for Sorcerer, Gunslinger, and Sentinel.
    • Includes class gauges, new SFX, new base abilities, and more!
  • Added day/night cycle.
    • Includes playlists of day & night ambient music.
  • Weather system
    • Currently variations of rain & thunderstorms.
  • In-game day tracker.
    • Will be updated to a proper calendar in a future update.
  • Major UI rework.
  • New hotbar system (up to six items can be saved for quick access).
  • Accessories (formerly named “rings”) now have proper effects.
  • Crime & Punishment
    • Criminal activities
      • Objects around major villages are now lootable (chests, barrels, crates, etc.)
      • Popping NPCs is now illegal.
      • NPCs can now be pickpocketed.
    • Jail system
      • Multiple methods of escape.
      • NINE different related bad ends & randomized events (if your bounty is too high!)
        • Executions, humiliation, etc.
    • Guards now patrol major settlements.
  • Puffkissing NPCs.
  • Custom model templates for player-made models.
  • Rentable inn rooms.
  • Bounty hunting
    • Quests cycle daily.
    • Three major bounty locations (Points of Interest).

Balance/Changes

  • Adjusted almost every ability formula to account for new defensive stats.
    • Note: Individual ability formulas have changed too many times to be fully reported here. The classes are very different now anyways!
    • Includes enemies as well.
  • Tweaked some enemy drops.
  • Heavily adjusted stat allocation for equipment (now scaled to a proper formula to ensure balance).
  • Player now starts with basic equipment.
  • Edited some quest descriptions to give directions to quest locations.
  • Equipment now has level restrictions.
  • Berry statuses now based on time elapsed while moving rather than steps taken.
  • Simplified enemy display names.
  • Enemies now drop significantly more gold.
  • Lowered price of many purchasable consumables.
  • All items now have a sale price.
  • Fast travel system reworked.

Bug Fixes (Not Comprehensive)

  • There is now a cooldown on keybind actions (no longer reads input once per frame).
  • Fallen Logs no longer reappear without reloading map.
  • Removed ability to hit escape and break quest sequencing in R.Q. 2.
  • Korin’s scraps are no longer miscolored.
  • Ariana no longer appears as a phantom when using a golden statue.
  • Fixed puffkiss sequence in R.Q. 11 no longer continuing properly in some instances.
  • Sharp pin/squeeze no longer cause phantom copies of NPCs upon reloading the map.
  • The market stalls are now properly aligned.
  • Default settings are now appropriately configured.
  • Popped followers are no longer able to be juiced.
  • Drunk state now inflates player while NOT moving.
  • Saves no longer become corrupted, leading to extreme load times upon entering a new map.
