After Jam Thoughts...

I learned a lot of things from the SFW Furry Game Jam. It was pretty fun! I had fun coming up with a fresh new idea and doing my best to code the mechanics and design the graphics. Due to personal difficulties interfering with the workflow, I have realized if I really want to bulldoze the projects straight on through with ease, I need to be able to combat the personal issues and find ways to prevent the negative effects of the issues. I also plan on getting a better gameplan with preparations when it comes to doing game jams, so my personal things don't disrupt my game progress. I hope to blend both perfectly to the point where I don't lose motivation. I hope to make a career or part time job out of being a visual novelist.

I learned that I need to:

  1. Plan small (Demo)
  2. Gather ideas that will fit the game and make it more fun.
  3. write down descriptions of places and characters.
  4. Write down game mechanics.
  5. draw out the assets.
  6. write out scenarios and possibilities.
  7. take breaks and manage personal well-being.

I had fun doing this game jam. Depending on how things turn out in the future, I might polish up the game.
