Conflicted

Today I’m conflicted about selling my published supplements for money. I’m not wealthy by any means, but I’ve never been a creator for the money. I like when people donate for Colossus, Goliath, and my other core games because, even though they’re free, it means that someone liked them enough to pay me for them. It’s a good feeling. But setting a static price from the start feels a little strange for me. I want people to download my supplements and games as much as possible, but with a price tag barring entry to the game, even a small one, it makes people less likely to give my games (mostly supplements) a try.

I understand. Paying for something when you don’t even know if you’ll like it, is a tough decision. And the economy isn’t great these days. People need to save up every penny they earn.

I’m not sure if I want to change the price of the supplements I sell to Pay What You Want, or keep them the same price as they are now, which is $2 each.

If you have any advice for me, leave them in the comments. I’ll be over here brooding about it while I listen to hard rock music.

Also, if you like any of my games, do feel free to leave a donation! That means more to me than you could know, the fact that you enjoyed my game enough to come back and pay for it, even if it’s just a dollar!
