Today marks the official release of Ubu. Ubu is a kinetic visual novel with a unique gameplay system. The main goal with this VN was to create a story that could only be told in the visual novel medium. This visual novel was made using the Kirikiri engine, which was also used to develop visual novels like Fate/Stay Night, Kara no Shoujo, and Witch on the Holy Night.

Ubu is a story about stock photos and creators. It focuses on a man and a stock photo. The man is searching for a specific creation, while the stock photo seeks to be back in the hands of humans. Together, they roll for stock photos using the Shutterstock gacha app.
