Top-down shooter development week 7 - Cutscene work

This week I made some progress on the opening cutscene for Bahooey v Ziwaa. As my main skillset is in programming, I have decided to lean into my lack of art training and go for a loose style. I'm hoping this gives it its own charm that my poor attempt at realism would lack (I'm having fun drawing it at least). Here's a frame of Ziwaa's cutscene animation:

As with last week when I finished the music, I'm making good progress on areas that are outside my wheelhouse. It feels good to stretch my comfort zone, and the remaining work to be done before release feels a lot less daunting. Speaking of which, I will be releasing Bahooey v Ziwaa by the end of April!

Next up is finishing the cutscene, then the title screen and general polish.
