How to make a Roblox Obby

The program that I am going to use is Roblox Studio. I’m more familiar with this program and think I’d be more comfortable with it.

I will be showing how to make a simple Obby in Roblox Studio.

The first step I took was to create the baseplate for the spawn (a light pink square). I think I clicked “scale” on the upper right and shaped the cube to my liking. On the top bar, there is also the option to change the color and material. I then started making the squares for the players to jump on. I made them smaller and tested them to make sure I could reach them from the spawn point. I then copied and pasted it to make another square.

I also want to keep everything organized, so I like to keep each object at its level. I’ve decided to make my Obby my little pony-themed, so the first level is “PP” for Pinkie Pie!

I want to make sure to name each object too, because once there is so many objects it starts to get messy and cluttered.

Also, remember to “lock” the shapes that you are making, or else they will simply fall. Locking them will remove gravity and keep them in place.

You can search for models or backgrounds that you want to use that other people made and posted publicly. There are simply things like cars, sunsets, objects, and furniture.

It’s really useful if you don’t know how to make something or simply don’t want to, it saves a lot of time.

I added a prettier sunset background and removed the base, so the player dies when they don’t make a jump and fall. I added another level area as well, with blue triangles. I also added some decorations, like my little pony balloon with twilight in it, and pinkie pie on the spawn for her themed level.

To finish off this section, I added a few more levels with themes related to Pinkie Pie, now I will change the theme to match another character!
