devlog020425, revamp notes and some scattered sentiments

As we will publish the new Spring Y1 in late April 2025, I think it's a wonderful time to talk about some new updates that will be showcased there:

  • Detailed introduction of the Regal routes.

These are the new scenes to give players a clearer path to ambition: What are the Regals looking for? How can you achieve those? Do you have something for them? Will you aim for them?

Sneak peek: Each Regal will have two ways for MC to pursue. Some can be straightforward, some can be obscure. Use your judgment to make the decision.

  • Major script changes to make the story and the settings introductions smoother.

As WOA grows with us, the team also grows. Writing Department now has several members chime in to make the world of Midheaven more vivid, the characters closer to the players.

  • Story scenes with NPCs are now merged into one Affection questline per character.

We have been working on WOA ever since 2016, there were a lot of changes to the original concept and writing style. WOA truly grew with us, from our time when we were still fiery, cocky students to... much more tired and jaded professionals in different fields. But never once had I thought of abandoning WOA, despite crisis or personal despair. We work slowly, I have to admit, but my dream is to see WOA come to life.

But the first thing is to present to you, the players, the new Spring Y1 of WOA. We hope this reborn will get closer to your heart.
