This change might be a bit abrupt to you, so I wanted to use this month's devlog to answer questions I'd likely be asked about this change (as well as other projects).
Well maintaining a Wordpress website for my game writing/game dev work wasn't worth it for me long-term (both financially and also in terms of maintenance getting increasingly complicated for a site I, frankly, barely updated). So, I figured switching to coding my own Nekoweb website was a good idea.
I thought it would be harder to accomplish. Fortunately, it wasn't too hard for me to do myself, so here I am now!
Mostly yes! The base layout was made thanks to petrapixel's layout generator. However, I did make several adjustments using HTML/CSS after using the actual template to make certain website pages (the published games page especially) look exactly the way I wanted it to, as well as upload images, add necessary links, etc.
I hope to put a code a working blog into the website at some point (at latest before the end of the year).
Until then, I'll be putting up most if not all devlogs here on Itch.Io until further notice.
As of this writing, yes! Check it out at https://clarismakesgames.carrd.co.
Yes, and it'll probably be shared here on Itch.Io. However, I'll probably post it on my actual author Itch.io profile since it's more relevant to that account.
Yes, I do! I started it back in February. Go check it out!
In terms of games - none, at the moment. Why? Because I'm busy writing books and intend to spend Spring 2025 mainly focusing on that (and get that "which of my books should you choose first" game up on my author account at some point this Spring - aiming for late March 2025 or early April 2025).
Likely either in May or June 2025.
Thank you for supporting me on my game writing & development journey!
I appreciate all the support, and happy gaming!
