Harrier Attack Reloaded for the Amstrad plus released

An Amstrad Plus edition of Harrier Attack, Harrier Attack Reloaded, is now available for the 464+, 6128+ and GX4000.

The original game, Harrier Attack, was created by Durell Software Ltd. Founder and director Robin White was the inspiration behind the game, while Mike Richardson programmed the CPC and ZX Spectrum versions of the game. It was bundled free with the Amstrad CPC 464, and became an instant hit for its simple yet addictive gameplay.

A few years ago, I started to learn Z80 assembly language. I wanted to see whether I could improve Harrier Attack, and so I began to look at the code to see what was possible.

In Harrier Attack Reloaded, I have used a CRTC hardware scroll to speed up the scrolling, as well the split screen and hardware sprites of the Amstrad Plus hardware to add more colour to the game. I hope to produce a physical cartridge version for those who are interested.
