Hey friends. 2025 just started, and I think it will be great.

Since the beginning of the year, I’ve updated My Chara Mansion and Chara CC. I don’t plan to update the other games. I have already started working on a new game with the goal of having a user interface that is way better than my previous game. To achieve this, I needed to be able to display sprites with transparent backgrounds. For technical reasons, it always has been difficult. I have tried two techniques so far:

• In A Special Mission, I used pngquant, but the quality drastically suffers if I want the picture to be small.
• In Chara Photo Studio, I used WEBP. It’s an excellent format, but it’s not natively supported by Unity, which was a pain. Then, it didn’t work on some devices, so I gave up.

But all this has been in the past; simply using a JPG with an alpha mask gives excellent results. This new technique unlocks new possibilities for me! It will allow me to make the game I couldn’t do before. So, I’m switching my focus to making this new game.

I want my next game to be a noticeable level up from my previous games. I’ll rework the game engine and the user interface, hoping to blow your mind (and also to make more money). Sadly, this can’t happen overnight, so don’t expect anything until this summer.
