Scary Cave is a full dungeon delver in 16 pages.

That’s your character, dungeon generation with 9 different themes, light, secret doors, trap handling, monsters and combat, hp, boss fights, treasure, progression, rest, healing, town and town map, shopping, special gear, and difficulty scaling as the cave increases in size.

All from very simple rules tuned for replayability and challenge.

I think the majority of people tweens+ who don’t know about dungeons (it’s just a scary cave) or ttrpgs (any roleplaying or creativity is given fuel but opt-in and spontaneous) could enjoy this game.

If someone followed the instructions step by step they’d get caught up in the play style and have a lot of fun.

Scary Cave has a YA theme about friendship, a few scares, and a genuinely challenging quest if you’re going to manage to rescue your friend. Not every run is going to be a win!
