Greetings! I've been making posts about the game I'm working on on Tumblr, but figured it would be a good idea to bring it to itch.io as well since I plan to release a demo eventually. 

As I'm a part of the Undertale Multiverse community and a great fan of the ships, especially Error/Ink, I started to write a long slow burn fanfic called Ætherverse. Then I thought, why not make a visual novel of the characters I love, just being silly and talking about silly things? So I started to create a game called "Glitch 'n Squid Meet up at the Cafe".

While it takes place in the universe of my story and specifically between the first and the second arc, there is no prior knowledge needed, as all relevant information and context will be provided in the game, meaning you can play it without having read my fanfiction.

Nonetheless, let me introduce you to the premise: Monsters have never lived underground, but instead in a big city called "Ebott City". After a civil war in which the monsters have lost, humans and monsters have divided the city with a wall, all until the human child Frisk came along, won over the monsters' hearts, and slowly began to re-establish the relationship between the two districts.

It's a steampunk world, meaning clothes and architecture are inspired by the late Victorian period, and you see steampunk-typical things such as airships and funky inventors. In this world, Ink is just a simple owner of a stationery store called "Doodlesphere", while Error is a rich and infamous businessman owning a company called "Blue Strings". Both happen to bump into each other on the streets, and come to realize they share similar dreams about a multiverse in which they're "the Creator" and "the Destroyer", fighting against each other for the fates of thousands of alternative universes. However, something happened that let to the destruction of said multiverse. Ink and Error decide to work together on their dream journals in the hope of uncovering the mystery behind their collective dreams.

The plot in this game is simple: You choose either Ink's or Error's POV and lead a conversation with the other about all sorts of things: the aforementioned dreams, their likes and dislikes, their work etc. There are multiple endings based on your choices. Since it's fairly early on in their relationship, don't expect things to end in a kiss scene, lmao, but teasing, flustering and chemistry definitely are included.

As I said in the beginning, I plan to release a demo of the first act of the game sometime in the future. I don't want to set a date yet 'cause I don't want to work under pressure (especially since this game is a side project because my main focus lies on my fanfic). Still, it would make me happy if you give this game a try once it's out~

On the progress: So far, I've got Error's POV in the first act done. Now Ink's is left before I can release a demo. And with that, roughly 1/4 of the game will be done.
